Despite the fact that our DNA makes us look distinct, there are many situations where we see similarities in others. We get incredibly excited when we find someone who looks like us. It could be a major likeness or a minor one, but we feel pretty excited when we find someone who looks like us. This connects people in society together depending on their preferences.
Gerrard Gethings, a British photographer, recognized this and became highly interested in look-alikes. Even though the internet is flooded with photographs of individuals who look identical, there aren’t enough photos of human and animal lookalikes. As a result, this photographer set out to complete his project of photographing people and cats who appear alike.
Some may believe that cats do not become anatomically similar to humans, therefore how do we locate look-alikes? You must concentrate on the characteristics of their appearances, and you will find enough animals that resemble humans throughout the animal kingdom. This photographer travelled across England to gather enough cats and humans who looked like this project, which focuses on cats.
After completing his travels, he discovered that he had enough images that he could use for his project. He told Bored Panda that driving and setting up his equipment took hours, but capturing the cat’s attention to pose in the photo was the most challenging part of the shooting. Unlike dogs, which have expressive faces and can be readily distracted by a treat, cats are extremely difficult to distract or make an expression on.
Gethings, on the other hand, has created a unique collection of photographs. As soon as it was uploaded, this project drew a lot of attention on the internet. As a result, we’ve shared a few of his images with you and listed them below. Check them out and vote for your favourite duo to get to the top!
