In the Bordeaux of Southwestern France, a lovely cottage shaped like three forest owls is now open for campers, and it costs nothing to stay the night. It’s part of a campaign urging city inhabitants to disconnect from the grid and reconnect with nature, and we can’t wait to try it!
The plywood shelter contains three floors, circular white beads, and an adjoined boardwalk overlooking nearby wetlands.
If you’re planning a vacation to Bordeaux soon, you can reserve a free stay in Les Guetteurs – or one of the area’s many other unique camping buildings – here. Who wouldn’t like to live inside a wooden trio of owls for a few days if they could turn off the lights?
